Google Engineer made a smart Bathroom Mirror
All use mirror for various purpose. Generally we use mirror to see ourselves and with the help of mirror we can decide whether we looking good or not. But here we give the information about the smart mirror which can use in bathroom and it gives the information like, news headlines and temperature, etc. This mirror is made by Google software engineer Max Braun. So let’s have look and give detailed information about the A Google Engineer built the coolest Bathroom Mirror we have ever seen.
Google software engineer Max Braun was unimpressed with the lack of a sci-fi style smart Mirror, so he built his own. He accomplished this by using a two way mirror, display panel, controller board, and a handful of components and arts and crafts supplies.
The results are a notification center like interface displaying the current time, date, temperature and RSS like news headlines. The software running this is Android.
With the a bit of experimenting he says he was able to create a smart mirror that sits on the door to the medicine cabinet showing him the weather, time, date, news and reminders, using Android APIs.
Other concepts I’m playing with are traffic, reminders and essentially anything that has a Google Now card, Braun explained adding that the idea behind the UI is that you don’t need to interact with it.
It should update automatically with an open ended voice search interface for everything else.
While the result are already more futuristic than your average bathroom mirror, Braun say’s he is far from done. He is currently toying with the idea of adding traffic, reminders and even Google Now which would allow him to command the mirror using his voice.
The whole thing sits a few millimetres things, with the small electronics hanging out inside the door of the medicine cabinet.
He links the entire component with a mini controller board connects the display behind the two way mirror with an Amazon Fire TV stick, which is what all the software is running on. That same board is connected to a power button and green LED. While this is an oversimplification of the engineering the Braun did, he is being extremely transparent with the project and is considering posting photos taken during the building process.
