With the completion of 8 thousand runs Shahid Afridi broke the world record of Virendra Sehwag. Afridi, in the list of 8,000 or more runs with highest strike rate he kept behind virendra Sehwag. Afridi
scored 8,019 runs in 395 matches with the strike rate of 116.86.
Against UAE, when he scored individual 2 runs with that he completed his 8,000 runs in ODI cricket. Pakistan’s all-rounder got this glory by hitting six on Amjad Javed’s over. In ODI history Afridi is having the lowest average of reaching 8000 runs.
Now Afridi is having 8,019 runs at an average of 23.52. Even though his average is lowest but his strike rate is 116 which is the highest in ODI history, Afridi played not out innings of 21 runs in 7 balls with two sixes and one four against UAE.
